EUC Engineering personnel have been seconded for an extended period (nominally 12 months work), to assist a dedicated owners team in the management of functional safety for a large onshore oil and gas process plant.  The work will involve liaison and interfacing with a third party consultant carrying out a functional safety assessment prior to the process plant commissioning and start-up.  In addition, the work includes carrying out functional safety verifications of phase completions, technical consulting within the team and checking and verification of calculations to confirm the target SIL for SIFs have been achieved.  This latter work involves the software tool exSILentia by exida.  Contact Mike Dean on +61 (0)448 103 028 if you wish to know more about functional safety or the services offered in this area by EUC Engineering.
